i just burnt a cd with some bass songs and went out to my car to see how they was gonna sound. the first 3 or 4 songs played fine on volume 50. i normally listen to it about 50-60. i tuned my amp with the volume on 60. a song that had alot of bass in it came on and i was rolling the windows up. when i hit the window button to go up the deck cut off and came back on when i let off the buttom. it only does it when rolling the window up and not down. then i thought ok thats weired. i turned the deck up when the bass started playing and as soon as the bass hit the deck cut off again. so i turned it back down to 50 and it still done it (had it on 60) so i turned it down to 40 and same thing and then 30 and same thing. i took the deck out and checked all the wires and they were all fine. so i popped the trunk and seen that one of the rca's was half way plugged into the amp so i fixed it and retried it and the deck is still cutting off. the amp stays on and doesnt go into protect mode or anything. anybody got any ideas on what could be causing this. maybe a bad ground, or blown fuse. also there was a topic on here yesterday about headunit cutting off but i never read the topic and now i cant find it.
just incase yall are wondering the amp is a profile ap1200, the sub is a infinity 1230w and the deck is a shitty xtreme sound. I KNOW I KNOW i bought it back before i knew anything about car audio. i just wanted a cd player that would play mp3s.
