mustang box

i was just thinking about my box that i will be making in a couple of months or so. I have a 95 mustang and for those of you that have seen a mustang's trunk .. their very small. I figured deminsion a couple weeks ago but fogot them lol. I think it was about 30W x 13.5(maybe 14)H x 20L. This box wouldnt be to terrible hard to build and port etc. but then i just thought about one more problem. The space that i have to put the box inside the trunk through the opening, theirs no way i could do that. I would be lucky to get a box for a 10" sub in ther much less a 12. so does this mean i will have to build the box inside the trunk? Im lookin for maximum space, so i wouldnt have much room to use a drill to drill the nails in the box on the sides or just basically assemble it all. Any suggestions on how i coudl do this?

I have built a box for my buddy's Mustange. I made it so it just barely fit...but it did. It was for an Infinity Kappa 12". It can be done. If you need, i can talk to him and get the dimensions so you have an idea. Also, you may be able to put it in through the back seat.

yea i thought about it but i think that opening is only about 11 inches maybe high. would it hurt for the sub to be facing upwards and have the side only that big?

alright, let me get those deminsions sometime if ya dont mind so i can play with it. u dont know by any chance how many cubic ft. it was or what it was tuned to do you? im pretty much deciding between a 12xxx or 12 ed a

Talked to my guy and it's 13L x 21H x 13.25D = 1.52cu'. It's tuned to 54 with a 4" port that is 4.5" long. It's for a Infinity Kappa and these are what the specs called for. Kinda high tuning but it sounded nice. You can probably make it longer to get the vol. for a larger 12 like you want.

alright, i was thinkin about doin the edesign blueprints for an ed a ... it says its 14.5H x 16L x 25W .. do you think that'll fit? i guess its worth a shot to find out. im thinkin its gona be to high by about an inch. so if i take an inch off the top and add it to the width do you think that will have any affect on the tuning?

I have a mustang too and i yes the trunks are very small as hell but i got 2 12"'s in there and all u got to do it take out the back seats and slide it trough there because thats the only way to get it in there. If u have any other questions just post back up and i will tell u

Put 4 10s in a mustang conv. 3 boxes and the centre one was 2.2 ft. net ported. Had to make it a funky shape, but they were all removable. Pic just posted under American Cars if you're interested.
