MTX 8500 better than a L7.

that was an MTX add, correct?

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

yea, but at the same time I wouldn't mind being different and throwing 2 8500's in my ride to compete.

I dunno I was kinda wowed by it, but why would MTX lie about their own product? I mean its probably a marketing scheme, but its crap.

They did the w7 and the 9500, id say their similar. The 9500 does not walk all over that. THe w7 has a little more output.

add:
the 9500 series is the top end of the MTX spectrum, here is a test Ed did, and how well even the 9500 stacked up against others. Same car, same power, samme judges, box reccomended by each manufacture

here is sealed, vented test on all...

and the awards of the top woofers

PLEASE NOTE

This is not a plug, or a smash on any driver, just actual test, done in actual car....or better known, as 'real world'...
Thats a different ballpark, the solox has ALOT more power handling than the 9500. Honestly, I wouldn't even compare the two. IMO the solox is its own field specs wise.

I wasn't bashing kicker at all. Kicker makes a great line of products, always have, always will. MTX has struggled before, there just steppin into the game.

Myself, I run 1 12" MTX MXS 1204 and for 350wrms people mistaken that I've had 3 12"'s. I really want it to get metered to see what I'm hitting. I dunno what to compare this sub to.

My bud ran 2 12" L7's in a stratus. Loudest thing I have ever heard. He runs a Brahama now.

But you should know that those tests were flawed and should not be taken too likely //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif
how were they flawed?? the woofers were sent in by each manufacture

yeah but that little competion with a handfull of drivers just raised more questions than answers. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Why dont you all just ask someone who has had both subwoofers instead of going off by what you THINK you know? D@MN knowitalls //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

I myself have had both. I liked the 8500. It got loud, took on the wattage I was throwing at it, lasted longer, and sounded better.

no, L7 would walk all ova a 8500 in a street app.
ok.. link to prove ur point? or do u have tests done already?

u need to explain. cause i mean i can say a sony sub from walmart can walk all over ur type R. it doesnt mean n e thing without proof

Those specs mean nothing.
Real world is what matters.

Im willing to bet the l7s are louder, since there is much more of them in DB drag than MTX subs.
so im guessing since i been competing for 2 years now and only seen 1 setup besides my last 1 with Resonant Engineering in them. there not good subs n dont hit as hard as all the JL setups that go to these **** comps, cause people think they are GOD!

but nah there the way to go cause u only see them there:D

i think i kno that, i didnt say it had betta specs, i dont even read specs, means nuthin. in real world apps, the L7s is a betta street sub.
still waiting for proof. please //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I haven't gotten the chance to hear the 8500's...but the 7500's can wang....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
o yes they do:)

and im sure u kno the L7s can wang also;)
I bet they do. hey man question

got a linky yet to a test uve done n hands down the L7 won??

It wouldnt walk all over the 8500, but just because one subwoofer has "better" specs WILL NOT mean that it will perform better.
atleast someone has something good to say, except that they **** compared to n e other woofer. hmmm.

but its not,lmao
still waiting //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

let us know when u buy a mic n test that shit out aight:laugh:

type r > both, end of story //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
