MT to BTL swap

Nothing agaisnt scott, hes a great guy, but i think his answer would be kinda biased. What company owner would say that this sub is louder than mine, so buy/use that one?

Yes. That is what I am looking for. I emailed FI a few days ago but no respnose yet. I thought I would ask around on the forum just to see what everyone thought. I just cant believe that the fully loaded BTL would be the best option for SPL.

Cooling isnt needed. Copper VC isnt needed, High Xmax coil isnt needed. However, the 3rd magnet may be a plus.

I could be wrong on all accounts though.

Right , so when it comes down to it the fully loaded BTL may be better for daily when compared to a MT, but in any of its forms the BTL may be not be as capable as the MT in full blown SPL applications. Any thoughts?

This could be the answer your looking for. Does your boy with the single 18 hit anywhere near a 170?

I was actually thinking about doing it when my box was finished putting my MT metering it and then swapping kenny pollocks BTL in to get it metered with the same amp to see what it does.

I dont put much stock into what the Extreme class cars do. High numbers come easy inside bank vaults .

will do. gotta finish my box first though LOL. Im in the process of finishing Kenny's wall and another guys box for 4 L7s so My box is not looking good for this weekend.

box will be big with high tuning BTW and running on a 20.1 @ .35ohms so it will be an SPL setup. Hope BTLs are ment to be burped in the mid to high 50s
