MT to BTL swap

Just wondering if anyone has done a direct swap of a MT to a BTL and changed nothing else(same box, same amp, same electrical) just a woofer swap, and seen higher numbers on the TL. If the BTL is a improved MT are there numbers on the SPL side to back this up?

That's not a fair comparison. Keeping the enclosure the same between the two subs would have different alignments for the subs and would yeild different results and different peak frequencies.
Im talkin straight spl setup here no daily. I dont think there would be a huge diffrence in enclosure volume, port area, and tuning between the drivers. But again I dont know, everyone just says they are similiar, and we dont have T/S on the MTs(I just know they are Fing loud).

i think steve changed up his amps when he switched to the BTL's more power to the BTL's than he had on the MT's if im not mistaken
the amps were before the sub switch, he did a direct drop in of the BTL's replaceing the MT's, i believe he noted a 1.1DB increase

yes but he seems like a pretty cool guy by showing off his system and blowing people with his system, u dont find to many people like that who jus pics up random people to hear his system

Wasnt that setup more of a loud daily tuned/bassrace setup over and not a all out SPL/burp tuned setup? I can see how a driver with the options the BTL has could be louder daily but wouldnt a fully loaded BTL not be suited for higher tuned, higher wattage (10000-20000rms) burps. What optioned BTL would compare to the MT quad stiff in these applications?

hey ga12r have u met matrxxdude i believe hes from tifton also, pretty cool guy
Yes he is my teamate. He runs a MT18 with 12000 watts in DB Drag street C. We are just wondering how a BTL18 would stack up.

Yeah its daily but hes giving his btls somewhere around 5,000 watts.
