Actually though the Extreme van that did the 170+ with a single 18 was firing into a huge cabin, the sub is actually firing towards the back of the van, and has to pressurize the entire rear of the van, then the front.

PS it was also done at 48 Hz if I remember correctly. Beau is a member here, I will see if I can get him to chime in.

yes sir, single BTL 18 and crossfire 4000 at 2.8 ohms, was supposed to have 2 4000s but one went into protect and never came out. so instead of 2 at 1.4 it ended up being 1 at 2.8 b/c the 4000d would have been PISSED at .7

not really, but he had alot of time into the install, it was completely different than anthing I had ever seen, and I have been competing in db drag competively for 7 years now. And the fact that he is playing 48 or 49 hz in an extreme vehicle is just nuts, considering 99% fo them are playing 65-80 hz. and more in the 70's than anything else.

These extreme vehicles are getting INSANE! The SPL levels they can accomplish, with the power levels they do.Considering when you think of an extreme vehicle you think of trays and racks full of amps.
