MSD 6A Install help

I got an MSD 6a box and the msd 8910 tach adapter. The directions were a little confusing. I wired it up how it seemed right and when I turned the key it fired right up(tach worked too) but 5 seconds later as I make a sigh of relief it died and now the starter just cranks, no fire. If I plug in the stock setup it fires up fine. I'm installing in an 89 Mitsubishi Montero 3.0L V6

Any ideas?

I'm thinkin you never had it right. You got it to cold start, one time, for 5 seconds. With an ignition system, that does not equal success. That is also something that's going to be very hard to trouble shoot, or assist over teh intrawebz.

any ideas?? I tried the spark test and got no spark. I tried MDS email/tech forums but they just want me to send it back so they can **** me on a repair.

YAY for used auto parts. Buy new, so you get a warranty, lol. That's one thing I love about my car... I've got buddies running close to 700hp, on stock ignition.
