Chevy Tahoe Gas Improvement?

Any tips on how to improve gas consumption through a chevy tahoe? Any type of tweaking or replacing. Basically I will get 12 mpg through city and 16 mpg on highway through what company says. Even improving it to take 1 more gallon to the mile will be a big step in my eyes. I love the truck but gas miles just kill me. :X

high flow airfilter and new exhaust. Exhaust will probably cost more than the savings will be, but will add power and sound better

Seriously.

I highly doubt any mods you put on it will improve your gas milage. Best bet is to get a different vehicle, or keep your foot out of it as much as possible.

If it says 12/16 online you will probably really get about 10/13

air filter, fuel filter, tune up have you had your injectors cleaned ?? if that dont work smile i only get 8 on the city 12 on the highway

Good luck finding a modification to improve gas mileage that manufacturers of millions and millions of large, gas-consuming vehicles haven't figured out yet. If you do, make sure you sell it to them.

Don't accelerate too fast, allow the engine to warm up instead of banging on a cold engine, and stay out of traffic.

New filters, exhaust, new plugs and clean the injectors, drive between 1-2k rpm.. get a Tornado air thingy... Put seafoam in a fresh tank of gas

Yeah, a Tornado, and some of those Gas Pills, if you can't find them use moth balls.

Get an extra battery, so that your car will use more electricty to run rather than all your gas.

lol....idk man, my sis has an 07 tahoe that I'm pretty sure cuts gas to the cyclinders or something while cruising on the freeway...think they can get around 20mpg on the freeway..not sure on the city, but you can get your taho chipped to get better mileage..how to go about that is far from my knowlege....
