Mp3 aux input problem

Hi everyone

I got a slight problem with my new car stereo...Yesterday I bought a new stereo (Sonichi S7000) for my Peugeot 206. Everything works fine except for the fact when I plug my mp3 player in via the aux input, music only plays from one speaker (driver side). I'm using a stereo lead and when I play cd's/radio it plays perfectly from all speakers.

It's quite possible I'm being stupid and it's something obvious but I can't work it out!! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Edited to add: The lead is definately pushed in properly, I've tried a few leads all with the same problem and the mp3 player (sony nwz-a829) plays in stereo fine with headphones.
