MP3 and AUX input

I have a clarion dzx845mc and I have a RCA mp3 player run into the aux input off the head phone jack. When I play the mp3 player I only get sound in the rear left and front right and atleast 1 sub. Does anyone else have this problem with this deck?

1. Are you sure you hooked the mp3 player to the HU's aux input?

2. Does this happen only when function=aux? Do you get full sound on tuner & CD?

Yes I am sure that I have it hooked to the input.

And yes it only happens when the function is on aux. And I have the auz input sensitivity set to high.
