yeah I knew it would be 4 cubes after displacement, that was worrying me as well. and jesus 30 deep? im gonna need to re-think how I'm going to mount my amp and second batt.

that was with height minimized trying to get it to fit easier. if you upped your height to 16 your depth could go down 23.

Also, i am just ballparking what that woofer wants sizewise. wish i knew more about it. i;m guessing it wants ported only?

a 6" diameter aero port in 6 cubes running that 18 might have some port noise. Though it would only need to be ~10" to get tuning down to 30Hz. If you went up to 8" wide port it'd go to a 20" length. and a 10"wide would be 32" long.

as long as you get that monster in there, you'll be happy ha. so dont worry about the details or options. just make sure the box holds up, and doesnt leak. does the Kove accept sealed apps? i cant find specs anywhere.

It's basically the same thing as a Treo SSX 18.22

Treo's recommended enclosures are Sealed: 3.4 cu ft, F3=39.4Hz

and Ported: 4 cu ft net, 50 sq in vent, 21.5 in long, F3=31 Hz

Well then your 4 cubes shuld work just fine. and can still use an aero port to go thru rear deck if you want (completely optional). with your original 4cube plan can you build externally? if so, go for it. use foam board or cardboard or whatever to make a model and check. make it as big as ya can while not causing trunk entry problems

I had my Treo ssx 15'' in 3.5 cubes and I think it wanted more. If you're worried about bracing, then you can do a slot port and that adds bracing itself.

dappa5 is working with me on the design now so we should be able to figure it out. I think I'm leaning through porting through the rear deck.
