more power or more subs

well i just found out that if i want to fir two12 or bigger i may have to build/get built

2 seperate boxes and place them side by side (i have to inspect my trunk alittle more but the only was that will happen it if i cut the brace behind my seats 1st i have to see how big the opening is

thank you everyone for you support really im not trying to be cocky in my remarks

by playing with the woofer box wizard and dailing in my workable trunk deminsions as if i were to install the box as normally from out side i can get 1 ..3.18-3.63 sub box in there

considering aero ports(not slot)

if i wee to go slotted i would have to account for the added on area of the port correct??

anyhow i think i can go wida as 36 maybe 38 inches may be pushing it(my curent box hits the side of the braces for the things that are supposed to hold the trunk up(not the actual hinges)(the little hook things that stick out about 2-3 inches)

thats why im aiming for such or high power sub...to account forn the lack of space...

ive herd 1 l7 15 in a prefab ported box on atleast 1000rms from a kicker zx1500(or whatever he had

and needlees to say but it had problems blowing away my compvr 12 getting like 500rms he was loud dont get me wrong

he also was slamming nots that my comp vp diddnt seem to try to hit

You don't have the proper airspace to use 15s so it's pointless to get them. A single higher power 15 would work better in your case then. Obviously you've never heard a proper setup w/ 12s, 10s, or even 8s if u think that only 15s can hit certain notes.
Ok i'll line up a decent lil system for ya, that will blow away what you have now...

15" FI BL D2 - $300

Audiopipe 1500d @ 1ohm - $200

Knukoncepts kollosus 1/0 gauge wiring for Big 3 and power/ground from the amp $70

Kinetik 1400 under hood + 2400 in trunk. - $450

4ft3 @ 33hz w/ 50-55sq in of port - $$ Depends on if u build boxes yourself or not

Install costs - $$ Depends if u can do it yourself or not

You say you're done with beginner setups, but it seems as though u have no clue what you're talking about car audio wise. Those two usually don't mix what so ever, usually ends up in a piss poor setup and equipment getting ruined.

using re box catculator i cant get the numbers right

i can only go a max of 16 inches tall

i got all nubers right except i end up with to much port are

i want to go with areos seems like it would use less space

but i dont know how to tune with areos //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

did som more researching 4" areos = 12square inches (give or take)...
