Gunz That Turn on Nunz
If you have to ask this, you arent ready for a 4th order. Sealed size always depends on resonant frequency meaning you need a meter and throw all manufacturer recommendations aside... Seriously those skar recommended specs are garbage, 4.5 cubes ported for an 18 is beyond garbage, they model best with 10 cubic feet tuned to 31 hz per sub. Your sealed needs to peak in the 45 to 50hz range and your ported needs to be tuned exactly at that frequency. 4th orders only work when you have a meter, a lot of spare wood and time with a lot of testing and dedication. Build and pray 4th orders usually never break 150 because they are often done wrong. So after I'm about to start ordering the other 18s for the jeep. In the sealed section of the 4th, do you need the full manufacturers specified sealed size? or smaller/larger? What is a good sealed size for an 18 in a 4th? If I'm walling I want to do it right the first time! lol
4 EVL 18s unless something changes. I'll replace them with something better once I can afford better.
Yeah I agree the skars are poorly designed drivers. They needed to soften up the suspension a bit because their motor is too weak. Or strengthen the motor. There's a reason why they are cheap. I'd rather get hdc3s than the EVL, almost similar price, gets much louder, sounds much better.
