nice one, man. having seen and talked to you in real life, as well as seeing and talking to Dave in real life as well, makes this whole thing MUCH MUCH MUCH more funny.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHASHAHAHAAHAHA

rediculous!

to think i almost bought a clarion deck from him :p

"alpine head units are no good" says Dave

"we'll install your clarion deck for free" says Dave

theCybe you are awesome. hell, i almost owe it to you to come up there and make you some MDF mounting rings and fabricate some tweeter sails for you just for doing all this. it's freakin hilarious.

nice job laying down the PWNhammer

Well, I would go find a lawyer in your area who gives free consultations, take your pictures with you and find out how well you would do in small claims court if you took your car to a different installation facility to have your installation "fixed" and then sue this Mobile Electronics for [inflated] re-install cost + court costs + any miscellaneous costs you can think of to toss in there (gas, mileage, etc). They did offer to "fix" it....but I honestly would not let them within 15 foot of my car after doing an installtion like that, which would be my reasoning [your reasoning] for taking it to a different facility.

I wouldn't ask for any money back....but it sure would be nice to make them pay out the *** to a competitor to fix their work (which means everybody who comes in to the other facility will be told the "horror story" of the shop across town //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif ). Their rep (if they had one) will be horribly damaged, and you'll hit them financially //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Those dudes **** they should be reported to the BBB and should be shut down for the rest of there lives, after that they should drag them out in the front of their shop and should be shot for doing such horrible installs. Come on if something is broke or taped up let me at least do it myself but for someone else to do it, sounds like they need their *** whipped a couple times

They wanted to actually see it - first thing I did was snatch the screwdriver from 'em.

( no feckin' way I'm gonna sit there and watch them pry at my door, when I can remove it *properly* in 45 seconds. )

You might recall my amp blew, too - I wouldn't doubt if it was poorly grounded, or what-have-you.

I have receipts for everything - and I look forward to nailing them.

937DYTBOI; I see you're in Ohio. Good.

Please tell everyone what about this.

DO IT!

why did you go anywhere for an hu install anyway ? you cant or wouldnt do it your self? had the money and said f it I'll have someone else do it?

^ x2, to maintain warranty.

I was under the impression that the same was necessary for my amp (Hifonics Brutus bx1500d,) but they won't honor the warranty because it wasn't purchase from an Authorized Dealer. By the way, there are no authorized dealers listed on the website. At all.

I wonder if there are any in Columbus - or Ohio, for that matter.

I had just gotten the car, and I was unfamiliar with it; I didn't wanna go breaking trim and coming up short on the install. Go figure, right? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif By no means did I 'just have the money' laying around. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i would be livid to an extent and laugh at the same time. thing is word of mouth is fine just dont get caught up in a slander suit lol. this is just so incredibly bad i dont even know wtf to say honestly if they do free labor on your car YOU should be allowed back there to help/watch the process to make sure its ok by you for totally obvious reasons but on the other hand i dont know if id let them touch my car again after that mess
