Never thought I'd wanna lock my own thread.

Wow this thread has been brought back twice now, good job guys //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
Guess what.

I lost the keys to my car.

So I had a guy come and make a set;

To do so, he had to pull the lock cylinder from the passenger door;

To do that, he had to remove the door panel.

I have pictures of my door speakers

DUCT TAPED into the god****ed doors.

Tweeters aren't even connected.

I'm going there, NOW.

ROFL ROFL ROFL ROFL ROFL ROFL that sucks!!!!

ANY SIGN OF SCREWS? ha

go punch them in the face.

Tell them, "I already told everyone i know in ohio that does anything with car audio forums online to NEVER come to this place, and if you want to save ANY face whatsoever you need to fix this RIGHT NOW for FREE."

don't let them fcuk you over, man. good luck.

/ory just keeps getting better and better.. and you guys are calling others retards for bring it back to the top.

**** dude first time i've heard this story definately sad to hear they are such bad installers. ****ing up your car and not installing the equipment properly.

I'm definately not gonna tell you you should have done it yourself those installers should have been capable to do such a simple job or they shouldnt even be there..

its like they never expected any install buisness and when you showed up they got their little brother to help out......

that sounds worse than my first install....when i knew nothing...

Im really sorry to hear about this. Its bullshit when you pay good money for a service that a business (being a business, should be professionals) provides and having them not provide that service. Even if they did mess it up, you should be getting buttloads of customer service. Thats ridiculous.

man the shitty thing about it is it took how long to find this out? all they will do is laugh at you from the sounds of it but i think you did the right thing and maybe be more vocal about this to locals. only thing that is gonna **** about getting a refund or anything like that is the time issue and personally i dont think i would want service from these guys as it is what made the problem to begin with.

Here's the best part - I go there, and the manager, Dave (who is actually personable, and a decent seeming guy) is busy talking *with a Pioneer rep.*

Better believe I walked right up like, "Hey, Dave! Remember those Pioneers you guys installed? They're DUCT TAPED INTO THE DOOR."

The Pioneer rep didn't even flinch. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

Dave walks to my car quickly, I show him the sh1t.

He's all kinds of sorry and sh1t.

I demand appeasement; //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/greedy.gif.5a53e6246569d7ab79867170f3b06629.gif He goes inside for a half hour, comes out, brings his "master installer."

The guy tries to defend his install, saying it's to seal the speaker, he's been installing for 20 years, etc.

I'll spare you the argument; I know how a ****ing speaker works, and duct tape doesn't have anything to do with it.

I *****, he agrees, I *****, he agrees;

Nothing can be done. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif

All they'd offer me was more labor. They'll fabricate some mounting rings for me. That's it. No free product, no monetary reimbursement.

He also advises me that Metra makes an adapter plate, but it costs $99. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I gave them a printout of this thread, and advised him that I plan to affect his finances negatively. Still, the owner maintains that he won't offer me anything but more [shitty] "labor."

So I told Dave - if he ever needs an installer that doesn't duct-tape shit together, gimme a ring. We shook hands, I left. His quote;

"I don't know what to tell you - I'm up sh1t creek with a turd for a paddle."

This post is going on every tuner forum, every audio forum, every tinting forum, every mySpace group, every place I can put it.

I'll provide the BBB a writeup.

I'll post pics when I get the camera cord.

I'm not paying anyone for labor ever again in my life. I'll change my own oil, I'll paint my own house, I'll do my own carpet, install my own appliances, and you can be *****ed* sure -

I'll install my own audio.

f*ck mobile electronics,

f*ck pioneer,

f*ck every company that ever screwed me with shitty products and services.

I am livid.

On a scale of one to ten, Mobile Electronics on Morse in Columbus Ohio gets a -93487. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif

I'd like to cost them their Pioneer distributorship. Any ideas?
Id say you should call pioneer service up and try to get a hold of a manager or someone who heads regional distribution and tell them your story. If they are about more than making a buck at their customers expense they will act on your complaint. Im really sorry to hear all of this, this is the first time I saw this thread. Have you fixed your trim and hooked your speakers up right yet?

Alex
