mini S harness

anyone know of a source for the wiring harness for the head unit?

the antenna is a peculiar mini-coax and the harness connector has two groups of blade connectors (flanked by the blue areas) and two multi-pin connectors (at the bottom...one is grey, one is black )

i am replacing the head unit and need a plug/harness that will interface to the existing plug to which i can attach the leads from a new alpine 7897 HU.

the picture is so small because the server refused to accept a larger image! i reduced it three times before it would take...apparantly the max file size is 30k.

the mini is so new that no-one seems to lsit it. it may be that a new 5 series BMW harness will work, but so far i haven't seen one and can't be sure.

You found a BMW harnes???? cool.... the antenna looks like the same one as the new VW though. Good luck, this isn't a standard install.

Actually, just so you know..... In my VW I ended up leaving the stock HU and simply added a 4 channel amp to it using the high level input. Bridged two of the channels to a sub and paralleled the factory front & rears off of the other two channels......It's sounds fuc king great. You'd be suprised. You may want to re-evaluate why you're replacing the deck..................
