I really have no desire to build a 1 driver loudspeaker. None at all...

So, resistance is easy... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I'm not anymore, posted that ad, thought about it...but meh. What am I going to find short of a Lowther that'll do what those do...

So unless someone comes to me with a really good deal on a pair of DX2's or DX4's they're staying.

Mod them? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Meh, they really don't lend themselves to modding all that well.

If I had the whizzered FE167's or 166E's I'd definitely take the whizzer off and put a phase plug in there, but the whizzerless Sigma is nowhere near as honky on the top end...other than a copious amount of modelling clay on the basket to take care of any resonances and maybe some felt on the magnet they're pretty much good to go out of the box. As they should be for $150 each //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I want an eNaBled set of drivers to see what that rage is about...
I want to do it to my B20s..I may soon take the wizzer off, make some phase plugs, treat the cone, and eNaBle them all at once...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

This is the current state of them now. I powered one of them up tonight and was rather pleased as to the sound, some things could be helped a little bit in the HF but I think I can work those issues out without any problems. They are going to be a dark walnut stain on the front baffle, yes I do realize there is an *opps* on the front, but when I'm done you will never realize that it was there. You can see from the pictures the current status on them, they will be finished by monday so I can take them back to school with me.

Cutting the port out.

The current equipment powering them (it's a lot easier to move this stuff then my normal gear...)

And what they look like currently. The red is just primer, it will be black when done.

Thats for the positive comments guys. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Heres the lastest round of pictures. The tape lines didn't come out perfect, but I'm happy with it. The paint on the back end came out alright, could have been a lot better though. Overall I'm satisfied with this one, just need to finish the other one.
