morel mids with 3" VC's can take a lot of powa. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
I meant a sharp slope so you won't overexcurt the mids and cause some sloppy midrange. I stated the 24db/oct slope that I had good luck with. I doubt your amp has a slope that steep, more like 12 or 18db/oct....I could be wrong though.what you mean HP them hard? When I set the HPF on the amp its not an absolute cuttoff correct? When you say hard are you saying set it to absolutely cuttoff under 80hz? Sorry if Im confusing Im not very knowledgable on this stuff.
No Im not going active
set what exactly?Yeah, and I dont know what HU I will be using. I need a new one, I will be able to set this with some HUs right?
they're definitely solid all around...sound good and can handle a good bit of power as well to really scream when you need them to. I ran ~100 watts to each of mine and had no issues. The dayton RS180s appear to be really cheap, do they sound good or just handle power?
No, that means they won't handle 130w RMS under 100Hz. The listed frequency response is 55Hz to 7kHz. However, I highly doubt you'd notice that gap a whole lot. Better to protect your speakers100hz hpf? Sorry, that means they wont play anything under 100hz right?
That isnt good with a 15" Mag in a ported box that doesnt do much above 60hz. What do I do?
That means I need mids that can handle that power with the hpf lower right?
The 24db/octave thing, is that a feature on more high end head units? My amps is 12db/octave so Im wondering if a higher end HU will be able to adjust this more.set what exactly?
actually a CA600 will do 150rms x 2 @ 4 ohmsI have the CDT EF-61's and while they sounded great to me they both blew off my Profile CA-600 (100wx2) amp.
The mids lasted maybe 3 months. What is a reasonably priced 6.5" that will handle a little more power? I had my gains set right and everything.
