Midbass Help... Looking at Opti 6.5

Just looking to upgrade my midbass components. Im looking at the Lanzar Opti6, which of these is the better of the 2 and also some other choices for around this price?

Btw I am running it off of a powerbass 400.2sx... ab 100-110 watts per channel

if you are replacing the woofer of a component system, than you get the first one. If you are replacing a coax set, get the 2nd.

Edit: Btw, if you are replacing the woofer out of comp set, whch set is it? I've heard good thing about these opti's, but there may be better option.

Im replacing cadence 2.65ks...they sound great just I need something that can handle more power

btw I just changed the 2nd option. I put the wrong link in. I am mainly only interested in a mid woofer, bc I like the tweeters from my cadence comps

i have a set of neo pro 8s if you can make them fit lol also have a 4 of http://www.mobilespec.com/p-177-65-mid-bass-driver.aspx look similar to them lanzar pm me if interested idk about lanzar you hear good you hear bad ya know..... are you looking for more vocals and mid or punch mid bass?

Unless you're running active, changing the woofer in a component set isn't really ideal. That tweeter is matched with that mid. As well as the crossovers, they are geared for running that mid. I wanted more output from my component set, so I pieced my own together and am running it active.

I doubt those will fit his build, since they are 8ohm.

I don't personally, but I have heard good things from @Kangaroux whom has pretty extensive experience with the mids only. He's very pleased with them, and feeds them gobs of power, and doesn't even have tweets with them yet IIRC. I'm sure he'll chime in in a moment.

OPTI6PM vs. my stocks

I was giving them roughly 100w each and they took it like it was nothing. They get stupid loud, to the point where it was almost giving me a headache and I had to dial down the gain. It was almost to a point where it was overpowering my 18. They sound great and yeah like theunderfighter said I'm hardly even using tweeters right now, the mids pick up on a lot of the highs too. If you plan on using them to be heavy on midbass make sure you seal up your door real good.

I have the aluminum cone ones in my car right now. They're decent, especially for the price. Midrange on them is pretty good, midbass is not too bad. I would recommend them to anyone on a budget

before you even purchase any mid range, how will they be ran? active or passive? if passive you might want to choose a tweeter with relatively the same sensitivity rating as well as one to play low enough to have a decent blend with the mids.

the lanzars that kangroux posted are pretty nice for the price
