Well, to start off i am trying to sell my idmax and pa1800db just because of the mere fact that i dont listen to rap too often anymore and i dont like the electrical strain and running 1 ga. wire, just for a lot of reasons. I want to go more on the SQ side of things. I currently have what is in my signature. I think i am getting ~60sq damplifier pro for christmas so i will be adding a few more layers to my doors, seal the hole with a few layers of deadener and add some clay to seal the baffle to the door. I will also deaden the rear deck pretty good.
I really dont think my current setup sounds all that bad, but i would love to go for a stock looking car with a nice front stage and some 6.5"s or hopefully 8" ib drivers. If i happen to get 6.5"s i will probably just build 3/4" baffles and sealed them with just deadener, if a rear deck baffle is necessary i will do that. 8"s will deff. get an entire baffle on the rear deck.
I love image dynamics equipment! I have owner the 12"idmaxv3, 15"idqv2, and 10"idqv3. I love the sound of their subwoofers and would love to find some id8s to run in the rear deck.
I figure since i like their subwoofers, i would like to upgrade my mids to the ID cx6.5 2ohm.
I would bridge my alpine amp and run 100rms to my tweets @4ohm. I was looking at the MTX thunderseries or something 2 ch. It was like $100 and does 100x2 @2ohm. I dont have lots of money and am trying to upgrade for as cheap as possible. I would most likely get two matching 2ch 100x2@2ohm amps, 1 for the mids and 1 for the IB subs.
In short, I want to go from current setup to:
Mids:Image Dynamics Cx65 2ohm ~$60
Sub/Mid amp:2 MTX thunder 100x2@2ohm or other 2ch. that do the same rms.~$100 a piece
Subwoofer:ID8s or some other IB capable 8" or 6.5" ~$??100 a piece
Anyone have some suggestions of equipment they would want to recomend for around the same price??
