Well I got my 96 Maxima pushing around 230 hp

my mods:

Stone Racing Y-Pipe (15-18 hp)

Magnaflow Hi Flow Cat (2-3 hp)

Warpspeed Catback Exhaust (4-5 hp)

Weapon R CAI (5-7 hp)

Unorthodox Racing Crank Pulley (8-10 hp)

I was wondering what other boltons are available for me that will total under $1000 and give me around 25 more horses.

I was thinking Nitrous...but I heard that wears down the engine...

also...will these mods add significant HP gains??

-Fuel Pressure Regulator

-Engine Ground Wires

-Breather Filter

-MSD Ignition

-NGK Spark Plugs

i highly doubt you're seeing that power at the wheels. that's probably at the crank. also, the muffler probably freed up only 1 hp. i highly recommend checking out http://www.forums.maxima.org

me and a buddy had his '96 running nice, we called her the torque monster..

he had 300zx fuel pump and injectors

ngk cold step plugs

intake, y pipe, full catback @ 3"

100 shot wet kit

exedy stage 1 clutch

and it ran until it got smashed, best time slip in the 8th was an 8.4 on slicks

he also did the 5 speed conversion with another friend....

but oh how things change, we are working on turnin his next max into a 12 second turbocharged max...

but as was stated before...http://www.maxima.org is gonna be your best bet on mods, full of resources....good luck and post some pics if you got them

you def dont even have 230 crank but that's ok you pretty much got the best mods. go suspension!

LOL, I suppose you're guessing, or did you actually take it to the dyno?

Get good suspension first.. then work on the engine :0

I also drive a Maxima. The mods you have listed are about all you can bolt on. I would guess you are much closer to 195-200hp at the wheel considering your mods. I would look into a Greddy E-manage. This will alow you to "tune" your current mods. Also see if Technosquare has an ECU for the 4th gen Maxima.

this is old but you're i'd say you have at MOST 190 fwhp, and that's with a 5spd, less so with automagic
