MAW-15 owners, need opinions.

1. Can it take more than 500rms, will it be able to take 800rms clean?

2. If i get it i will run it in 2.2^ft sealed, how tight is it in the 50-80hz region, ive heard it hits lows like a monster so im not worried there.

3. Will be used for rock and rap, so can it play fast enough for rock and any other acoustical music?

I have a maw-15 in a 3 cu. ft. ported box tuned to 28 hz.

I set my gains on my 1606d to about 800-850, so realistically its probably seeing about 700 or so. I wouldnt run much more in a ported box, but you may get away with it sealed. Just watch for stress when its been broken in, because the suspension loosens up a lot. I listen a lot of rock, and a lot of it has constant double bass, and it keeps up fine.

My enclosure is tuned to 28, so the notes within 50-80 sound less exaggerated opposed to a 32hz or so tuning, which i like, it tends to sound more natural.

The lows are especially nice too.

Sweet, so it sounds like it should do 800rms fine sealed.

*EDIT* Although im not sure i liked the sealed of my RSd, something about ported. lol

I had an RSD before the mach 5, and id have to say i like the maw better all around. I had the pg in a 2.5 cu ft. box @ 28hz

do you not have room to go ported?

I had mine on ~700 each... They took it like a champ. I had mine in 3cuft each tuned at 30hz

Im really happy with the sq of mine ported now, but i cant say how it is vs. sealed, ive yet to hear it.
