ok i will have a 4 battery set up , 1 under the hood and 3 oddessys in the back. My question is how should i wire it all. Never done a multiple battery set up and want to make sure i get all the materials i need to make this sucessful thanks for all the help

If you are just doing this in a standard 12 volt application than its as simple as wiring all the batteries in Parallel. So all the positives together and all the negatives together. You should be using an isolator and if thats the case than you are gonna take the charging wire off the altenator and hook it up to the isolator input. Then run one output from the Isolator to the battery and the other output to the batteries in the back.

if you dont hook it up in parallel you will cook alot of stuff unless it can handle 25+ volts lol

Why would you choose to not use an Isolator. Mabye more to the point, why are you adding extra batteries?

if he is hooking it up to fart it he wont want an isolator. if he sits around with the car off and listening to his system loud alot the isolator would be nice

why 4 batteries. i have 2200 watts in my boat with two batteries for the system and one to start the boat. also, what do you want to be able to do with these batteries, for parked rocking out only?

And thats exactly why Im asking. He said himself he was new to multi battery set ups so I want to find out what his goals are so we will know whether or not the isolator is gonna matter or not.

cap doesnt do so hot you are compairing amp hours (batts) to milliseconds (caps)

no isolator and BIG wire between the 3 in the back, multiple runs from front to back and BIG wire to the amps.

by BIG I mean I'm about to buy 3/0
