might go pick up two kicker L5s in a sealed box. would it be worth trying to cut the top off and make it into a ported box (after getting plans from someone) or would it be easier to start from scratch?

I don't doubt my ability I'm just curious what others opinions are

I suppose you could use metal braces to make the sides sturdy enough since you're going to have to extend them up once you take the top off.... I'd probly just make a new one but that's me.

yah, make a new one. of course, if the box is big enough (which it probably isn't) then you could add a vent internal, otherwise, it's not worth trying to scab up an extension

Which Palm Beach are you in?

I have a ported box for 2 12" L5's that I may let go...
