making a 6.5 fit in 5x7 hole

I just put Boston Pro 6.5 inchers in my 5x7 holes on my '04 Explorer. The Bostons came with adapter plates, and they fit perfect. No cutting. In fact, The screw holes lined up just right so that the screws went through the speaker trim, through the plate, and into the door. Piece of cake.
