MAJOR TC-5200 Problem

It was a poorly built box. However, it dont mean a motor should become unscrewed from the top assembly no matter if the sub was even in a Dairyments milk crate...bad design...
then you and all your wisdom should have asked to have the top assy connected directly to the motor //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Or the fact that it wasnt tightened enough.. should have checked it before you put it in.. you KNEW they are just screwed on.. check it next time. i do agree it is a stupid design.. shouldnt have stopped using the hex screws...
I did check the sub man. I even had three males to attempt to get the top assembly off so that I could see the 4" voice coil. But it didnt budge so I said f it and put it in the box. Thats the reason for the question. If I didnt check it before I put it in, then I would def take the blame here. A strap wrench cant even get them off either...

It is possible you weakened the joint by trying to loosen it. Do they use a threadlocking compound and if so that is exactly what you did, the vibes just finished it off for you. Polo. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
