After installing my new MB Quartz 1500.1 with my 2 10"RE se Subs in my Altima my rear view mirror will not stand still?

Its one of the high end mirrors with garage door openers and compass and has two pivot points. I see no way to tighten it?

Superglue?

Any ideas?

Thanks Biker

Look on the bright side...it hasn't broke off yet //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

When I put in my Octobox for 4 twelves and my D9, I burped it once and it fell off...lol

I haven't bothered putting it back up since.

ha ha but some of us need it on 4 inspection.. mine is a pain in the azz its simular 2 bikers all it does is point straight down and make noise when it bounces around //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

first adjust your mirror to where you like it.....take the mirror off being careful not to move the joints around......color some napkins or paper towels black with a sharpie.....cut the colored paper into strips.....wrap the strips around the joints......soak the paper wrapped joints in super glue or epoxy.......make sure to only use enough glue (matrix) to absorb into the paper......add a few layers just to be sure it wont break......... alternatively you can do this to just one of the joints.

i snapped one of the cast ball joints with my first system and was forced to do this only i drilled out the casting put a nail through it for strength then did the above process. I only did the one joint where it broke but it pretty much fixed my mirror from getting extremely screwed up like it used to. still gets messed but not nearly as bad and i still have all the adjustment i need. If you really dont want it to move then do both joints. it will then basically be a solid beam and will flex with you windshield which is unavoidable. newer systems broke my auto dimmer button off lol who needs that anyways why wouldnt i want it to dim
