Mag D2 Installed..

You really think going from 2.0 to something like 2.5 would make a large difference? oh and by the way.. i did use the calculator, the original version, at accelerator-pedal.com to make the one i have now. I manually calculated the area after port and sub displacement and it was just fine. And there is absoultely no port noise whatsoever. so i'm not sure what the bashers were exactly talking about....
..Maybe my expecations are just too high...i've heard some pretty decent setups and none have impressed me... 12w7...2 l7's ported...2 shivas sealed...2 type r's....1 mag d2:D..

I'm probably just expecting way too much, what i think is good, and what people like you guys or whoever think is good are too different things.

1. Never use an online box builder

2. If this is your first box build the box could be a huge flaw.

3. I think you should get someone else to build ya one or build a new one sealed cant really mess up on sealed heh . But then again .....

I will never anything except bass box 6 pro . Most programs dont add for end user correction .
i don't use programs period...all my calculations and measurements are done by hand...it's just the only way i feel comfortable //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

End user correction? I think you mean port end correction, as I doubt any program in the world could account for user error. rofl //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

i use that box calculator sometimes, i never have a problem with it...actually it generally turns out great.

well i have nothing to compare it to, but as far as i know it works fine. calculated volume and such correctly, and i have 0 port noise, but that is all i have to go off of as of now

Electro, here is my box stats...maybe you can see if anything is wrong...

net box volume - 2.0 cf

tuning freq - 30 hertz

driver displace - .07

box width - 30 inches.

box height - 13 inches..

box depth - 14.75 inches...

Port width - 1.75 inches...

Do you need anything else?

you know what, i'm going up to my shop RIGHT NOW to take some pictures. i will even put a video on there..now if you gusy stay with me for about half hour i will have em for ya...but in the mean time maybe look at my stats, and see if u can see whats up

port length. port area (lxw). The mag is only .07 in displacement? My old SE was at least .12... Does not sound right.

Why is the sub tilted that way? Is it because the cutout is messed up? If so that could be a big problem. I would also try putting some weather stripping on the sub. Second, why would you choose to put the port up there? Theres plenty of room next to the sub. If anything that could be the bigger problem because I dont see that much clearance for that port. The sub is fine the way its facing but if I were you I would build another box a little bigger and put the sub and port on the same side.
