Got it installed today, had a chance to listen to it for about an hour.

Got it in my 2.0cf box tuned to 30hz....

plays pretty accurately, much more so than my PG's..and hits low decently loud, nothing as much as I thought though. i tried facing the sub box in many different directions, and the one i have right now sounds pretty much the best. sub facing out, and port facing up. who knows, maybe this is the reason i don' think it sounds as good as i thought it was brought up to be. but either way, im satisfied, i guess. give it a while for break-in and i'm sure i wont be dissapointed

You sound pretty disappointed, Im wondering if sealed would be more fit for these subs? BTW don't bother "braking them in", thats something that has such a miniscule effect that you wouldn't even notice it.

nope much better ported, try building a bigger ported enclosure i heard in 2.5 and it made my head hurt pretty bad. And that was going from a car with a XXX to car wth a Mag build a bigger bos for it and you will be happy i promise

With it tuned to 30 in 2 cubes don't expect much below port tuning. If you wanted the extreme low end you should have given more thought to sealed. I'm assuming you're talking about a 12" model and not the 15", correct?

yeah..i have the 12...breaking in isn't a misconception at all.. i've owned a few subs and i've noticed a HUGE difference once they sub has been used for awhile.

There is a reason that you NEED to break these in. Nick at SI only visually inspected each one. Yeah, i did that and after an hour i already could tell a little difference. Says to do so right on the reciept thing.

I would try a bigger ported box. I know If I still had my 12 SE I would have done at lease 2.4 ported. 2.0 was good but nothing spectacular. Trust me get a bigger box.
