Made in USA???

Sundown Z and Nightshade use American made coils for sure. Currently the best coils to be had are wound in Florida.

Also IMO the spiders and cones being made in USA are a supperior product. I suspect Emminence and Credence may still manufacture their own motors here, I think Emminence has the capability to still make big slugs for motors. There's definitely some very high quality cones and spiders made in USA still as well.

Very little is made here anymore. Government regulations in USA are horrible if you're a small business (smaller than Wal Mart or Mc Donalds). Stephen Mantz even had to let go his last 10 employees after the last wave of mandated healthcare legislation and now does only assembly here. Also, like it or lump it, Korea is today what Japan was in the 80's. While not leading the pack in engineering and innovation, they can produce some very high quality electronics for dirt cheap prices.

I think quite a few of the web brand subs are built to order in USA, where the parts come from probably varies.

I dont get it, what difference does it make??
Plenty........Most of the products you buy now were once made in America ,back before you little pricks were even born

this country was strong, rich and we made ****........Now were broke, weak and we dont make anything and consequently when you

start looking for a real job after you graduate your Taco Bell min wage job there wont be any real jobs because of ex presidents like Bill Clinton

signed deals like NAFTA.........and then you have todays treehuggers and their regulations , all have pushed US MFGing out of this once strong nation so while

your air is microscopicly cleaner you have to look to Walmart for a job and Obama for foodstamps

I have a few old school car audio peices that were made in the USA.......Early Diamond Audio mainly, and you know what

12 years later they are still running and in operation........You wont get that from some Korean internet brand

You must be kidding if you're trying to blame Clinton...Let me guess, you think that Ronald Reagan was the best President to have ever held office?

Before this diverts into a political debate, one thing to remember is that (at least from my perspective) is that if the majority of the parts are sourced here and the item is machined/assembled here, is that more of the money that goes into the production of the item stays here. But again, that is just my perspective.

While you are wrong here on the korean stuff lasting, I have "Older school" Diamond amps as well, and I do love them.

Also, pull your head out of your *** and you will see that, plain and simple, american people are, as a whole LAZY. Quality and America no longer go hand in hand I hate to say.

Sundown isnt even assembled here. Sundown subs are all china
As the printing on the box indicates our E, SD-2, and SA woofers are assembled in China. This is not a secret nor am I shy about admitting it -- the drivers performance speaks for itself regardless of where it is made. They would have no better quality if I glued them all together here but they would cost more and take longer to deliver to the customer.

We've always assembled the Nightshade drivers here in the USA and all versions of the Z woofer to date as well have been American assembled. The Nightshade will remain as such; where the Z will likely be sent over to our factory by next year due to extremely high demand and the difficulty in finding sufficiently skilled and trustworthy workers who give a crap to put them together here. If things change I am MORE than open to considering moving more production to the USA; fact is in the current environment it doesn't make a ton of sense to make products with high sales volume here.

I am actually looking into fully USA made (machined and assembled) motors for the Nightshade line perhaps by version 4 -- local machine shop that does alot of small pieces for us has acquired a ton of new machinery that opens that up a bit... for a lower sales volume / higher end product like the NS it makes a bit more sense.
