My 02 Mustang has the Mach 1000 Stereo and I plan on keeping all of it. I want to add my new 12" cvx and kicker 750.1 amp to it; when I called best buy they said i can integrate the sub to my current system by adjusting the wiring. can anybody help me do this? I don't want to pay $100+ when I'm pretty sure somebody on here has done it. If you even have a link or tutorial on how to do it that would be amazing. I'm even willing to pay a few dollars through paypal if you help me get it right! Thanks

-Sam

what you need to do is find the sub amps and get the sub signal pre stock amp. You're going to have to disconnect all the stock subs if you are going with your own amp and sub because of cancelation and quality and the such. After you find the sub signal you can use a loc, line driver, powered equalizer ect or just a rca kit from radio shack to turn the wires into rcas. Then the rest is the usual amp set up run the power, remote wire (which you can probably get from one of the stock amps) ground and you should be in business. I would def check this out http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/attachments/car-audio/27164d1142996133-ford-mustang-2003-mach-1000-wiring-diagrams-here-mach-1000.zip could save you a lot of hit and miss.

I can try to do a little research, but what is a loc, and can I get them from a local electronics store like radio shack? How hard is it to tap into the pre-amp signal? Thanks.

a loc is a line output converter, usually used to take a highlevel(speakerlevel) signal and reduce it to preout levels, not really what you are doing but it is a way to turn wires into rca, albeit not a good one. Once you figure out which wire carries the sub signal ie. the one(s) going into the sub amps its just a matter of cutting them and now you have your sub signal. What I did is get rca caps from radioshack and I soldered the wires into them to get me the rca's. You might need a line driver though depending on how strong the preamp bass signal is, i know I did.
