Good lord are they hideous....I guess I'd be the guy running them without the cover on cause man are they cheapo looking...but the internals look beefy and delicious.

Lets not get 2 carried away... The crown amps are nice with all do respect, but have you you havent , an exile mono block, or tested around with them... Imo my exile 2400.1 does every bit as good of job as the jbl bpx 2200.1. Both are powerhouse amps,and yes ive done some serious testing on both amplifiers..

you're also comparing an amp rated at 2400 watts vs an amp rated at 2200 watts so I would hope there is difference. even though any jbl 2200 i've seen/used usually does around 2700ish after testing it so if that exile does 300 over it's rating then that's good.

I've got a local dealer who has some of their amps in stock, along with some of thier subs. A bit pricey for me though, still....I may make some sacrifices and pick one up in the future, as they look like some impressive amps. They do look cheap, but all those parts on the amp are actually aluminum.... They look like cheap plastic on the pictures though....

Yeah, wish amp companies realized the value of a clean smooth looking amp instead of super bling. Man I miss the PG ZPA series of amps. That was class.

you're also comparing an amp rated at 2400 watts vs an amp rated at 2200 watts so I would hope there is difference.

There would be no audible difference in 2200 and 2400 watts assuming that all else is equal....

They look pretty good 2 me. I have my guts exposed, but i have the protective see through cover on it.
