Hifonics bx1500d?

Ive heard alot about hifonics being unreliable or somin are they a realiable amp? And about wut is the rated power i no they say 1500rms but they are overrated and do u think they would push my subs as hard as a orion1200d i going to get 2 12" L7s

I have a 1605d for Sale soon.........tryin to get a larger amp for new combo.

Dont know about the 1500 but the 1605d slams real well for a budget amp.

i have a 1500 on my L7 and it never gives me problems, it has only gone into protection once and thats becuase i was being stupid and clipped the signal from the headunit (turned it up way to high for to long)

its a great amp for the price

i had mine running for less than a year to my mag and was very conservative with the gains and it still died on me for absolutely no reason so i wouldnt suggest it. as for the power i seem to remember someone a while back testing it at one ohm and it did something around 1400 wrms.

It was 1360w, but the THD was 10%. Adjusted for the typical 1% thd for a sub amp it was 1200-1300 real watts.

i think it was 1390wrms @ 14.4v and 900 something wrms @ 13.8v

but thats based off ONE test

i ran the bx1500d to 2 12" L7's at 1ohm and they were perfectly fine. only problem was that i didnt have the electrical system to keep up (honda civic //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif). i set my gains correctly and never had a problem within the 3 months i ran that setup

I would go with the Orion 1200d. Very reliable and overall great amp. I have one on my L7's and they sound great. You just can't do wrong with Orion.

Thats wut i want but i cant find it ive been looking 4 it ive seen on a website for 500$ but ive seen for cheaper i no the orion would be a better first choice but i wondering if the hifonics would be a close second u c.

well i dont know about a close second.... its a budget amp and you get a budget product , it does what it does , i had good expierence with it as others have, and others have had bad expierences... i would recommend it though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

the shop i used to compete with ran a lot of hifonics. personally, i think they are a very dirty, power hungry amps....go with the orion if you can be patient and find one.

a close second...imo....not a close tenth

.... its a budget amp and you get a budget product , it does what it does...
