m6d2 not working

Alright, so I have a diamond m6d2 at 1 ohm in a sealed box running on a viper d1200.1, I have the gain adjusted to give it about 700w. I've had the speaker for about 6 months.

I was going to show a friend the other night and I turned the speaker up to the normal max without distortion, in a few seconds it quit. The speaker stopped working.

I proceeded to check if:

A. The amp was on. It was.

B. The RCAs were in. They were.

C. The cone would move. It would. Easily but not too easily like normal.

D. Next I checked the speaker wires with a dmm. Flat tone they read a constant 25, with music they fluctuated from 1-20.

E. The speaker wires inside the enclosure were all intact.

F. Nothing looked burnt out.

G. I tried hooking the spkr wires straight up to the wiring instead of using the connector built into the enclosure, no avail.

What could it possibly be?

There is a slight reason for the failure. It's called Droppedknobitis. It can be cured with the counterclockwise rotation of the volume knob on your head unit, counterclockwise rotation of the gain knob on your amplifier or the increasing of enclosure volume with the increasing of subwoofer diameter. Get to your doctor fast!
