LS front speakers cutting out

I have a problem that is very confusing. My 2000 LS had the front speakers cut out when I had the stock speakers and HU in. I then replaced the front speakers. Had the same symptoms. Then I replaced the HU with a Pioneer. Same problem. Then I wired the front speakers straight to the HU. Problem still exists, I then wired the speakers straight to the HU. Problem is still there, then I turn up the volume and the speakers come on, then cut off again. Any suggestions?
