Low playing 10" subwoofer

I have a Alpine Type R SWR-1041D 10" in a .85cf box in a 350z, and it does not play low enough for me. Is there any other 10" sub around $100 that will play lower than this? I need it to be 4 ohms as well. I'm basically looking to have deep bass. thx.

Sealed box? Try ported.

yeah its sealed. Well its a prefab under strut enclosure made for this car so I cant port it. I prefer the sound of sealed as well.

go with punch p2 or p3 10 they hit low in that small of a box. Alpines need more airspace to hit low. get a p3 on ebay for about 120, you should be able to just screw it in and tell a big difference.

Lowest subs I can think of is TC sounds LMS line... idk..

I found a p3d210 on ebay for $103 shipped. Looking at the specs, how can you tell how low a sub plays?

The Type-R and the P3 are extremely similar, for him to act like you'll hear a huge difference is him just being biased probably because he's had a P2 or a P3 before. Get a new box, Type-Rs can play low. I actually heard two type rs sealed, I think 12s, and it was killing the lows.

i'm stuck with the box because it is kinda like a stealthbox, it would cost me more to get a new box than to get a new sub.

Its called an enclosure. If you design one well enough you can get tons of drivers to play low frequencies very efficiently.

This is the enclosure I have, anything else wouldn't really fit, and I don't want to get ri of my spare.
