Built a 4cube net box @28hz. I don't see a lot of boxes tuned below 30.

I made it for a re se 15d4, but It didn't jive out.

I can interchange subs, and sub sizes though.....

I put my 2 optidrives in there and ****..... **** things knock with more airspace and better port design than my prefab box.

I got a db drive Plw 15d4 1000 watt rms dual 4 15" from a friend today.

Dropped it in and it pounds good too, but I think it struggles in the upper bass.

Under 50hz, the 2-12's and 1-15 are neck and neck.

My question is, I'm looking for a 1000watt rms dual4 or dual2 15incher with good sql and really deep bass under 250.00 that'll quake in the 4 cube box.

I'm liking the FI-Q... wonder what else comes highly recm'd.

perfect tuning IMO. FI Q. If you could spend a little more, I would go Ascendant Audio havoc, or TC sounds LMS-R 15".

edit: forget the TC sounds if you are looking for upper bass

Sounds like a SQ machine ... Gave alot of demos last weekenk at USACI Finals. They seem to like it ...

Tuning low is great for a flat response. Especially if you tune your box around the Fs of the sub. The only problem with 'cabin gain' in the auto environment is, it can make your low end very strong while the higher end (~50-60hz) suffers. If you tune slightly higher, around 30-32hz, you sacrifice a little low end but you get a large gain in your 50-60hz range.

x2 on that, but I have no use for bass that is over 50 hz for my listening tastes.

All depends on the sub, my two sa8s would kill everything when tuned at 30 in 2cubes. I tuned them higher to 37 and they still kill dem lows. One of my 12s does awesome at 37 and the other one I built in 35 didnt do well at much less than 33 lol. You needs more mota force and less spider
