low notes = sub excursion = no bass?

He's flopping around below his port tune. WTF does a deck x-over have to do with anything?
a couple of posts prior to that he mentioned to the OP that if you were running 2 LP crossovers (HU + amp) then it could throw the frequency out of whack and cause cancellation or something to that effect and he added that slopes would be messed up.

then i asked if the same applied for my components because i always just used both because i figured it couldnt hurt and he was answering that question. i took his advice and my components went from sounding good to sounding great. almost like it added more life to my comps, if that makes any sense.

figured id clarify for you.
