with that kind of budget, 2 sdc2.5 15s and a bxi2008, be about 600 and then 1 extra battery and wiring,

or you could do a single hdc 18 on the same amp be about the same, if you want the wow factor of an 18 but the 2 15's have more cone area...

you could also do 2 type R 15s

theres a couple 2-15 setups that you can get loud and be under 1000$

Ok after reading these past few posts, I think i DO need to narrow down some things. I don't want 5 batteries, and a dozen alternators (exaggeration, but you get my point). I also don't want him to have to spend a ridiculous amount of money. I was thinking a subs facing up setup. I'd rather not have to build a wall. Also I would like the most "wang for the buck", lol. He wants his ears to break, not his wallet. If that's even possible....

Well, dual alt is almost necessary after 5K WRMS... and once you get higher, you need batts or more alts. You can't tell the bass heads on this forum you have like 18-20 cubes of space and not expect them to tell you to wall it, get a dozen IA 40.1's and 4x 18"s. lmao.

I say go with some UL-12's or some DD9915's.

2 mj18m's on a kicker zx1500.1 in a proper size ported box would be a mid 140's setup, which for 98% of people is loud as fawk, the other 2% have been giving you 155+ advice lol say hi to them!

MJ18m's have gotten a lot of good reviews, a lot of positive reviews. I believe Rashaad runs 2 MJ18's, you should MSG him and see what he thinks about them. But, if this guy isn't into car audio, he probably will think 130-140 DB will be nuts, and that's all that needs to be done. No need to go crazy for something that doesn't need to be that crazy. If I get this right, he's a customer.

yeah rashaads got 2 mjs in the trunk ported thru the deck i wanna say he hit low 140's between 142-143 territory and hes running either a brutus 2000 or 2600 cant remember which.

the point that was trying to make is exactly what your saying, to the average jo 140 is stupid loud, so a mid 140's setup would fit the bill, with the mjs you get the wow factor of 18's without breaking the bank.

could also run SSD18's as well not quite as cheap as the MJ's but still within budget and you could buy dual 1ohm coils for a 1ohm final instead of a 2ohm final with the mj's

you want 1500w @ 2ohms on a budjet... bxi2600 if you can find one used, check the classifieds but probably going to be between 250-350 realistically

If you had to put the loudest possible setup in a a cargo area of a hummer h3 with these dimensions, what would you put? This is for a friend.

^^The rear seat can't be down, it has to be in the cargo area behind the second row.

I need to know subs, amps, box dimensions, etc.

2 21's? 3 18's? I'm not the most experienced with car audio, so help me out please. It needs to sound good, but I want high SPL. Thanks!

How much is he looking to spend and what SPL org is he going to compete in USACi DB Drag etc?? that is always helpful to know that way if he is on a small budget not to get thrown in a class where he will be no match
