Loudest 15 subwoofer with decent sq...?

sorry I was not aware of this and am actually surprised about that.
DD9500 is nowhere near an xl m2 or Level 5... More along the lines of an XL or souped up Level 4.

Shut the **** up and go tell the 15 people that did the drop in test that. The m2 was not mentioned.

don't agree with your opinion of tc subs at all. Passive radiator my *** they have a sub specifically for them and that is the only one good for them. Small sealed maybe on the epics. I do agree as stated above they are really good for ht but that is also why they are good if you like a clean sounding sub that gets loud nice and low. BTW they don't make the tc 3000 any more maybe you should look them up again.
BTW: dd 9500 series is comparable more to the level 5 or maybe the xl m2 not just the xl.

Axis replaced TC3000 (more or less).

OP. You are getting a lot of bad advice here. Take all the subs listed here and put the names in a hat. Pull one out and start building boxes until you get the sound you like. Most of the woofers that'll handle 1000W and up are pretty comparable and can all sound good in the right application. (I'm sure in the correct box all would make you happy).

I'd wager that few people really have the "magic ear" that can notice 5 or 10% distortion below 70hz and if you just want linear response it'll be mostly dependent on box and positioning in the car.

agreed and imo tc3000 was better quality. I still think a matrix elite would be a nice woofer for him to choose.

when I say something your best bet is to listen..

I design speakers FYI..

note the compliance to mass ratio of the tc designs

they just don't have the mechanical dampening to be used in what we normally use for ported alignments, don't believe me see how peaky and how much GD you get with a lms-r 15 is 4 tuned to 35..

I'm not using modeling software I'm telling you physical facts..

the PMs needs 2.5 tuned to 28..

there created to provide a flat wide bandwidth with low group delay aka good sounding drivers..

they are amoung some of the best when optimized and no they aren't loud..

in fact the lms sound alot like the IMAX but with more balls..

as far as the 9500 not competing with the xl that's just a good laugh..

I don't understand your point with that ported enclosure. The lms-r's are not designed for that high of a tuning as well 3-3.5 cubes not 4. If it was put in the box you stated yes it would be peaky and no subwoofer is peaky in the right box. Anyways I respect your opinion since you design speakers but please do not be rude.

PS jbinn may not be bright but he does like trolling
