ok I have 4 220w 4 way pioner 6.5's, 2 240w 4 way pioneer 6x9's, and 2 100w 2way bazooka 6x9's. My question is what is the best amp or amps to get to power all of these. Right now I have a 800w and a 1000w amp hooked up to 2 800w kenwood 12's.

Man dont use all those speakers. What car is this for? So you have a diffrent amp runnin each sub?

Wow I didnt expect everyone to freak out. haha. Ok let me give you more information.

I have a 2000 mustang GT

The amps that I currently have are a 800w sony and thats powering one 800w kenwood 12

The other amp is a 1000w kenwood and its powering the other 800w kenwood 12

Now I have a pair of 2 way bazooka 6x9's that are 100w

a pair of 4 way pioneer 6 1/2's that are 220w

and 2 pairs of 4 way pioneer 6x9's that are 240w

Yes I know this is a lot of speakers but thats what I have and I want to hook them up. I just need to know what would the best amps be for those. Maybe one 4 channel amp and a 2 channel amp? I cant give you the model numbers right now cause Im at work. Thanks for any help guys.

1) Start over from scratch. Sell everything you just listed, including the amps and subs.

2) Add a little bit of pocket money to it and come up with a new total budget.

3) Come back then and ask for advice on an entirely new setup with your new budget.

Follow those steps, and you will thank us.

are u seriously running your subs like that? are they even the same model? u def don't use 2 different amps on sets of speakers. and those pioneers and bazookas WILL NOT handle those max power ratings. go read up on caraudio because u don't know enough right now to be hooking up anything. do as squeak said and sell that stuff, get money, and then ask. not bein harsh just real.

ok when I say that the speakers like bazookas are 100w I know thats not the rms and I know that they wont handle even close to 100w. I just told you the max watts there listed as cause I didnt know the rms. Ive put in a lot of systems, Im not new to this stuff. The subs are the exact same subs and models and sound fine. Im not going for competition here guys. In my last car I had the 6 1/2 and the 6x9 pioneers hooked up with the subs and it sounded fine. I have other subs and speakers that people have given me and I was going to hook those up to. I guess I'll just figure it out on my own since noone seems to want to give me answers. I was just looking for good amps for highs. Also I wanted to know what would be better 4 channel amps or a couple 2 channels. But like I said just forget it.

Then run the four pioneer speakers. I'm not sure of the layout of the mustang so I'll assume 6.5" all the way around. Put one speaker per channel. Just forget the 6.9's. Sell them to some sucker.

Have fun cutting your car apart to fit the rest of the speakers. It'll sound like crap with all those speakers anyway.

Same difference if they both make equal power. Running multiple 2-channel amps vs. a 4-channel amp would require more wiring and more complicated mounting, which would both be downfalls.

Now....you may not be entirely "new", but given your postings in this thread, you obviously have a lot to learn yet. I'd suggest, before you spend any money on more amps, you stick around for a while and read and learn. You may think your plan sounds alright.....but we've all been there, done that, and know the results will be less than stellar. We could take that same amount of money you'll have into your stereo and create something that sounds twice as good. That's not to put you down, but to show you that there are better ways, and you could have something much better than you have planned.

But if you want to learn the hard way......feel free.

I appreciate your guys help alot. I am by no means an expert in car audio and im sure most if not all of you have more experience and know what your talking about more than I do. It sounds like the best thing for me to do is go with a 4 channel amp. That answered my question. As for where will it all fit. well 2 speakers will go in the front doors and 4 speakers will fit in the back dash. The subs will fit in the trunk as well as the 4 amps. I wont have a trunk but I didnt buy a mustang for the trunk or the back seat. Now I know there are better sounding systems out there but I know for a fact (because I had it hooked up in my last car) that 2 6.5's and 4 6x9's equally powered along with 2 12's will sound fine. The bazookas I will be selling cause there pretty pointless and I like haveing all the same speakers. Thanks again for all your help.
