Los33 2000 GMC Sierra Build Log

can't really see how much that welding cable cost you.
probably would've been cheaper on eBay with expedited shipping
and also, those lugs you ordered on the site are undersized. I had to trim off a ton of wire to get them to fit.
$277 for the welding wire and $3X something for lugs..

Im not worried about the size since i have a welding wire compressor.

It compresses the copper to fit in the lugs.

Also im not worried about the price.. It would have been 40$ cheaper to buy off ebay. Im just hating the wood price.

Just got the shca fuses & fuse blocks, Knu 8 gauge OFC twist kable, toolmaker dual 1/0 inputs, Knu kollusus 105sqft deadener...

Holy shiit those two boxes of deadener i got were fuukin heavy.

Mail lady fell over with the first then just waited for me to get the second box.

I dont have a pic, but it looks just like a clamp sitting on a cnc stranding machine.

We have one in one of the other locations the company i share space with has. I usually use it when i create welding cables for the company when the welders burn out the cables.

Edit: best pic i can find online

If you have a hydraulic crimper that will work to compress also.

That a major piece of equipment ! Ya I got a crimper I but never had a prob cuz I use welding cable and lugs to fit them ? I am guessing the car audio stuff is bigger and makes it harder to get lugs on ?

Most car audio cable is oversized.

1/0 welding cable most definitely should fit a 3/8 lug or else it is not made standard.

When you cut the jacket you have to twist and pull the wire a bit to compress it enough to fit a lug.

PPI 900.4 and welding wire and lugs have made it finally!

Now just need a freekin roller for the deadener...

Heres a pic without trimming anything... I just cut the jacket and slipped it in the lug.

Could be the picture, but that wire looks small to me
Welding wire 1/0 awg is certified to standard specs which car audio does not so most CA wire will have pvc tubing to oversize the wire.
