Havent used them but a friend of mine went from power bass 3xls and grabbed ab xfls and he was disappointed he went right back to the 3xls and I did the same , these subs are fukkin beasts I mean brazy loud , I built an enclosure for it 2 cuft tuned to 32 hz put polyfill in it , (the stuff in your pillow) and goddam it was ridiculous now that would be a great choice too they can handle 1000 rms daily each without a sweat

honestly man, you can get pretty loud, you can keep your 1000 rms sony amp, get two 15 inch shok industries tritons and spend the rest of the money on the enclosure and you'll easily be loud from far away.

you dont need to pour soo much money out to get big rms numbers to get decently loud.

i love the 15, they get hella low easily and have great sq and they got good slam to them and they took 1k clean rms easily only getting slightly warm. I would probably rate them in the same categories as threatcon 2s almost as loud, but gets lower easier.
