Looking to upgrade stock speakers

I'm about to get a 99 accord sedan in the next coming months and one of the 1st things i'm going to do is upgrade all 4 speakers. I currently have an Alpine MRP M350 amp that I will be keeping. I want to use that to power my speakers that I get instead of having them run off the HU.

I've always been a huge JL fan and so far i'm leaning toward buying JL speakers, but if anyone could give me some suggestions and WHY i would greatly appreciate it!! As far as the HU i'm also undecided on the type of HU i'm gonna use in the car too. But the alpine amp is definitly gonna come!

oh yeah ... i'ma SQ freak!!!! so i want speakers that deliver good clean lows and highs but still pack a good punch!

JL's overpriced....what more is there to say...you can get better stuff for less.

i hate when people recommend speakers and they've never heard them before. you might very well hate them....but you would never know it. if you've heard them, then recommend. if not, don't.

I was actually looking into those. A girl just did a review on them and i can get them for $87 shipped!!! you cant beat that!!!

i am going to use that same amp in a 5.1 system. can't really comment on any since i'm looking too buti'm probably going with the alpine type x ref comps. the tweet is supposedly really nice, lacking mid-bass. it's hard to find something good that will really function with that little power and the tytpe x seemed like a decent match.
