you really should get the impedance plot of the Boston tweeter, then get a new tweeter pair that matches it.
I have a Woofer Tester 3 that can give impedance plots. Mail me the tweeter and i'll test it for you. The test takes about 5 minutes from start to finish. I'll mail the tweeter back. if you include the pair, i can see if it's a simple tinsel lead that came detached on the non-working one.

I'm sort of in the same boat, I've got a set of old school BA 6.5 Pros with only one tweeter (i believe its a Neo 5t tweeter). Discontinued according to BA. Do i pair it up with a new BA Pro tweeter (Neo Type-M Alloy) and use it as a rear set or shell out for a new tweeter pair.

you want matching tweeters. even old vs new of the same brand will be completely different.

this is your tweeter.

use this to choose a tweeter with a similar impedance sweep. one with 6 ohm nominal impedance with an fs around 1400Hz

this way the passive crossovers will perform similarly.
