looking to replace the rlp! 187s possibly?

Well its time for a change. Not that theres anything wrong with the rlp..just looking for something new for now. Going for more to the sql. so i was thinking..

1 or 2 12" ia 187s

1 or 2 12" assassins

2 10" assassins

what do you guys think? open to other suggestions..trying not to go over 300ish. also prefer not to buy used.

the rlp is one of the best sql drivers in the price range. how are you looking for "more sql?" either you want more spl, or more sq.

Or, if you simply want more SPL...build a different enclosure for your current Rl-p

The 187s are not SQL subs IMO...they sound alright and get loud for the money but I would definitely work with what you have and/or add a second....

Is it possible that you think you want a good mix of SQ and SPL but really want to just get loud???

Are you looking for a different sound perhaps (i.e. more top end, etc)??

well if your looking for more spl then those aa assassins arent the way to go since the move 1.68 liters of air each and one rl-p does 2.27. id say to go with a 15" rl-p cause that will get you to a 3.965 if my calculations are right. and im surprised you arent happy with the rl-p, i was thinking about two of those 15's.

def not the 187's IME RL-p > LI in every way. however IA subs are built like tanks, while the RL-p tends to need to be babied.
