Type R's sound like uber *** IMO.I've heard quite a few type R set-ups and they got ok loud, but blah.

ask anyone about the mag...everyone will say the same thing..its awesome. i havent heard one bad thing about it. only thing i can think of is that they only come in dual 2 so i cant get 2 of them and run at 1 ohm off my amp....but thats a different story.

oo and the price you see on the website isnt the actual price. email them and they will tell you what it would be shipped to your door. i was quoted for a 12 $360 to my door.

Whoever told you 2 subs is essential is an idiot, do not go back to that shop. There is absolutely no justification for needing multiple subs. Its all about the displacement potential, which can be accomplished with 1 sub, 2 subs, or 27 subs, it does not matter. That's basic stuff there, and any installer who says otherwise cannot be trusted to perform even a basic install imo.

There's no reason to say xxx's were built to run ported, they work exceptionally well sealed. Remember, they have gobs of displacement (xmax) and an extremely flat BL curve, makes for a very loud and clean sounding sealed driver. Brahma's also work very well sealed.
