Looking to add Clean bass

I Recently purchased a 2011 buick lacrosse and my sound sytem is a tad weak on the bass side, When ever i use my EQ and turn up the bass it completly ruins the music. So basically im lookings for a good amp/sub combo that isnt over bearing and I could possibly put under a seat? any ideas?

i would just throw a single ten in your backseat and then if you wanna move it just unplug it quick and toss it in the trunk

What kind of budget do you have?

What does your current stereo consist of?

A single sub with a decent amp and enclosure would do the trick I'm sure.

looking at around $300 but i currentley have a 7 speaker stock system no subwoofer

If your LaCrosse is anything like my Park Ave there's no room under the seats. A small sub in a sealed box in the trunk playing through the back seat is probably the best bet.

for $300 you can't get much is this $300 including all the wires, line converter, terminals, enclosure, woofer, amplifier?

ill be wiring it myself really only looking for one sub and amp nothing overbearing ill most likely build the enclosure myself or have my buddy do it. So the $300 is reall only for the sub/amp

You also need an amplifier installation kit. I occasionally sell some low budget sub/amp setups but they're just a gateway to spending more money to upgrade. $300 is pretty low if you're buying new gear. There aren't any stealth boxes available for your car and the under-seat slim powered subs are a joke, if they'd even fit your car. This means you'll want a small box in the trunk.
