Looking into getting a 12" Type R... RMS QUESTION!

my 12inch type r lasted about 19 burps with about 3500watts and they will play music all day in a 2cube box, not 2.5, not 2.3 but 2 cube box off 1500watts, no joke. say what you want but until youve done extensive tests, dont run your mouth like they're some weaksauce subs.

is that 2 cubes sealed or ported? net or gross volume?

we were thinking 900rms, gains set conservatively so like 800-850 or so

sealed box ~1.5 cubes net (after driver displacement)

2 cubes is NET, ported. btw, whatever you tune it to, keep the port anywhere from 40-50square inches, thats where my 12really shined.

okay, if we tune it to about 30hz we will get good sq, right? IIRC lower tuning=sq, higher tuning=spl?

id say 32 hz is a great place to start
