Looking for the best of all world's...help me find it

I would say that's a bit of an exaggeration.
89db isn't super sensitive, even for a 10"

And even then Hoffman doesn't say you can't have LFE with a higher sensitivity driver...only that the enclosure needs to be larger //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Not to mention with the added affects of cabin gain/transfer function, LFE isn't too large of an issue.

But in the end I agree that worrying about sensitivity for subwoofers is generally overrated. As Immacomputer mentioned...the enclosure is going to be a dominate contributor.
ya ya...i know that

Bonesninja....I think you should give Memphis subwoofers a try my friend. IF i remember correctly some of their subwoofers carry a sensitivity rating of 90...and the big shebang the Mojo has a rating of 88.6....take a look http://www.memphiscaraudio.com
Those would be good too. 4 Mclass Single-4 ohm 10s on a Good 1kW at 1 ohm amp should make him pretty happy. I had 2 Mclass 12s and an Mclass 500d for my first system. I was very happy. They got pretty loud and sounded good in only about .5 cubes sealed each.
